Though we keep getting hit with massive snowstorm after massive snowstorm, at some point, the nice weather will actually rear its head. There are roughly 95,471 miles of shoreline across the United States and they are all calling out to you and your family.

If you and your family are planning a nice summer trip, you might want to read a little bit about some things that can easily ruin your beach vacation. When it comes to vacationing, even the smallest mishap can cause major problems and tack on more stress. Vacations are supposed to be relaxing, right? So you need to do everything you can to avoid those stressors and actually enjoy your time at the beach.

Here are some of the most common mistakes that beach goers make every summer:

  1. Planning out every detail -- Believe it or not, one of the most common planning mistakes is planning too much. This is supposed to be a vacation, not a work conference. You don't need to plan out every second of every day because that will only lead to more stress than you need. Figure out what you and the family want to do on a few days, sure, but leave some open chunks of time so you can just go with the flow and do whatever you want as a family. No one likes to have a set time to play at the beach -- so don't be that person.
  2. Forgetting custom embroidered towels -- This might seem trivial enough, but try spending more than five minutes at the beach without custom beach towels. You’ll have sand in places that you didn’t even know existed. You can find some excellent custom embroidered towels for your whole family to lay out and lounge on while relaxing at the beach. It will be well worth it. Not to mention you'll always know which towel is yours!
  3. Packing too much -- This is a vacation, not a relocation. You don't need to bring every pair of pants you own or extra pillows and blankets. You're going to be all set with some comfy clothes and your towel. Plus, you'll likely buy some souvenirs so you'll need that extra space in your suitcase.
