4 Common Mistakes Beachgoers Make

  Beach Towels

Going to the beach can be a lot of fun, but if you're not careful, one rookie mistake could turn the entire day into an annoying nightmare. In the U.S., there are approximately 95,471 miles of beaches with millions of people lounging in the sand and playing in the water. Some of those beachgoers know what they're doing and are having a great time. But some of those beachgoers have made a few of these mistakes.

Forgetting Custom Beach Towels

Perhaps the most important item any beach-goer should remember to bring is a personalized beach towel. You can't just bring a bath towel or two and expect to sufficiently protect yourself and all your items from sand. If you don't have enough custom beach towels or if they aren't large enough, you're going to have a pretty uncomfortable time at the beach. An added benefit of having custom made beach towels is that you'll have the coolest towels at the beach. You'll be laughing at all the other beachgoers as they uncomfortably lie on their uncool towel as you lounge out on your custom beach towels.

Not Preparing for the Heat

Another mistake that beachgoers make that ends up ruining their time is forgetting to pack the essential items to protect against the scorching hot sun. If you and your family forget to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, or an umbrella for especially hot days, you're going to be too hot to even enjoy yourself in the water. Make sure to not overdress, too, and bring all the essentials for a hot day at the beach!

Packing the Wrong Type of Food

When you're at the beach, you want to bring food that doesn't require a lot of prepping and is easy to eat. If you have to prepare your own sandwich at the beach it's going to be covered in sand. Bring handheld snacks that are easy to munch on, and prepared meals.

Showing Up Late

If you're planning on going to the beach, make sure you get up as early as possible and go claim your spot. If you make the mistake of waiting too long, you will end up stuck in the back of the beach behind everyone else. If you wait too long you might not even have a view of the water because of all the open umbrellas in your way and people standing around. Wake up early and get to the beach right away so you have a good spot!
